Generously Give

The ability to give back not only of their time but to be able to financially invest into the community is a critical component of a successful program. Because of this ACCP has formed strategic partnerships ensureing that all cadets graduate debt free, with a strong credit rating and ready to enter their community ahead of the game and able to immediately make an impact.

Our Vision

To utilize education, life experience and mentoring in the long-term development of a new police officer. We want to produce an officer who is not only formally educated, but also has a strong foundation in community-centered policing. The vision is to provide a foundation the officer has not only received training in, but has participated in for a three-year period, establishing a life course habit of investing in the community they serve.

The Process

The Academy for Community-Centered Policing (ACCP) only accepted the BEST OF THE BEST into it’s program. Accepted students will work in a cohort of 5. The cohort will last for 3 years. During this time students will receive the students tuition, room and board, book, transportation and uniforms will be provided by ACCP. The students will also receive a monthly stipend. Upon graduation, students will graduate DEBT FREE. ACCP will work with students to also build a strong credit rating during this time as many police departments consider credit ratings as part of the application process. Students will also graduate with:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Highlands College (A state institution that is nationally accredited)
  • Georgia POST police certification
  • 3 years of experience working within a municipal police department, campus police department and a dispatch center
  • Advanced instructor certification in areas such as Tactical Communication, First Aid/CPR, TASER, ASP Baton and more
  • Certification though Global University School of the Bible
  • Leadership Certificates from the Royal Rangers ministry and John Maxwell School of Leadership
  • MORE LIFE EXPERIENCE THAN ANY COLLEGE COULD EVER TEACH YOU!

In general, when the cohort graduates, they will be positioned to walk into the policing industry as the most certified, experienced and marketable applicant possible.
